Welcome to your HTHNC Parent Association website and the 2008/2009 school year.

My name is Laura Robinson and I am currently serving for a second year as Parent Association President. I felt compelled to serve again as we have so many wonderful parents working hard towards our common goal of helping to create the best school/school experience possible here at HTHNC.

Research indicates that students with involved parents do better in school and this is even more true at the high school level.

I’ve enjoyed meeting and working with so many of you parents over this last inaugural year of our school. I’m also thrilled with the enthusiasm that we’re seeing from our new 9th grade parents. Many of you have already filled out Parent Volunteer Forms, listing specific ways in which you feel you can help out this year. There are so many volunteer opportunities and I hope you’ll browse the list of current openings. We welcome any and all help now and throughout the school year! One of the first, easiest, and most effective ways you can help our school is to sign up for eScrip - we hope you’ll do this part right away!

We already have fun events planned so browse around our website so you can start marking your calendars. Lani Radcliffe, our wonderful P.A. webmaster, continues to update/add to this website and I think you’ll find it makes for a great source of information on school events, news, etc.
